Sharon Walden
Since 1974, I have been known only as Sister Anna. Although I grew up a Catholic, I resonated with the East which flowed into our culture so copiously in the '70's. I found an Eastern Orthodox path which matched my yearning to blend the East and the West. I have been in Southern California since 1998 and love it here. So many spiritual paths converge to make a very interesting and energizing atmosphere.
In more recent days, we have become Naturopaths. We love the Healing Arts and find we are very suited to this type of work. And I love exploring the Body-Mind-Spirit connection, the understanding of which has taken a quantum leap in the last 10 years or so.My experience as an AFS summer exchange student to Peru in 1966 revolutionized my thinking and my direction. The outward journey pointed me to the inner journey that presented itself a little later.
I feel grateful to all my teachers and to all my fellow students who populated the world of my youth. Thank each of you for sharing this part of our Privileged Planet at that special moment of time - when we were young in years.
